The classic lashing technique is applying a maximum of one extension to one natural lash (1:1).

A hybrid set includes elements of both classic and volume lashing. It consists of some natural lashes being applied 1:1,  and other natural lashes being applied with volume fans. Hybrid sets are great for clients who cannot afford to maintain a volume set, but still desire more volume than what is available with classic lashing.

This method uses multiple extensions across all natural lashes . Volume denominations used are 2d (2 extensions to 1 NL), 3d (3 extensions to 1 NL), 4d (4 extensions to 1 NL).
